Senior Adults

Our senior adults are highly valued and play an active role in our church. There are various ministries that have been formed that give our senior adults an opportunity it get involved and help us to reach out to the seniors in our surrounding communiy. Check out the available ministries and upcoming events below.

 

Homebound Ministry
Do you have a loved one that is unable to get out and about? Let us know and our homebound ministry can help reach out to them. We want to make sure they know they haven't been forgotten and are loved. We'll make visits to their home and often surprise them with gifts, goodies, and services that help them keep their home in good shape.

Van Ministry
Our church vans are available on Sunday mornings to pick up anyone who needs a ride to church for the 10:45 am service. Just call the church office and let us know who needs a ride.

Assisted Living Ministry
We are always looking for volunteers to help with this ministry. Bible studies are held weekly at the following locations and times:

Tuesdays	9:00 am	Merril Gardens
	10:00 am	Columbia Cottage
	11:15 am	Heritage Manor
Thursdays	10:00 am	Montreat Apartments

Upcoming Events

Spring Picnic - Thursday, May 15, 12-3:00 pm, under the large pavilion at McFarland Park. Bring your lawn chairs and a dessert to share. If you would like to ride the church buss, meet us at UBC at 11:30 am.

Gospel Celebration - August 25-27, in Pigeon Forge, TN.

Cracker Barrel Breakfast - Monday, September 8, at 9:00 am.

October Day Trip - Saturday, October 18, to the Nashville Flea Market.

Senior Adult Thanksgiving Fellowship - Thursday, November 6, at 11:30 am in the Fellowship Hall.

Senior Adult Christmas Fellowship - Thursday, December 4, at 11:30 am in the Fellowship Hall.

December Day Trip - Thursday, December 18, to Alley's Inn in Courtland, AL.
