Mardi Gras and the Mississippi Gulf Coast
This is a student mission trip for all high school seniors and college students ages 17 and older. This is a chance for students to literally have a life-changing experience. The cost is quite minimal, but the impact is eternal! It is an opportunity to participate in the Gulf Coast’s Mardi Gras parades riding on a Christian float. These parades take place on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in towns like Pass Christian, Ocean Springs and Gulfport and are not anything like the Louisiana parades. We stay at a Christian camp with a missionary and his family, which is a secure environment where we sleep, eat, and worship during this weekend trip. The whole purpose of our participation is to ride on Christian floats while handing out tracts and witnessing to the lost who line the parade routes. Click here to see information from our previous trip. Our 2012 trip will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 11-12. Contact the church office if interested in joining us.
