One of our Connection Group leaders, Cathy Cook, was inspired by her daughter to help gather materials to send to a small community in South Dakota. Her daughter put a notice in her church bulletin. We began to advertise in ours as well and send out "word of mouth" notices throughout the community. In a short amount of time people contributed enough clothing, shoes, craft supplies, and much more to rent a U-Haul to deliver all the items to the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation in Eagle Butte, South Dakota.
